Are my company’s mobile devices compatible with AMS?
AMS complements the software on most mobile devices. It works with:
- Android phones (2.2+) and tablets (3.0+). AMS is available from the Play Store – ams kinross group
- iPhones, iPads and iPods, (iOS) accessed via the Apple Vo Program (VPP) or an
Enterprise Licence. We support iOS 7. x and associated devices. AMS is not currently available for download from the Consumer App store. Details on how to join VPP or to get an Enterprise licence are here: http://wiki.ams.io/display/AUG/AMS+Compatible+Devices
It is essential to select your device based on your use case. Some solutions require different features and capabilities. It is always preferable to leave device selection until after your solution (s ) has been built and you have consulted with the AMS developers.
Is AMS accessible offline?
Yes. Users don’t need to have internet coverage, or be online, to enter and save information. They can even do calculations, offline. Coverage is needed to transmit messages.
What types of data can be captured using AMS?
With AMS you can share unlimited formatted data.
Incoming data can be viewed in a range of ways or integrated via web services to your existing systems.
AMS Payment Options
For the Health sector, the pricing model is an all-inclusive fixed charge per month per User. This includes a range of extras (Hosting, Security, Priority Support) to satisfy the needs of both this complex market and health data security. There is a minimum of 30 Users.
Non Health Users
AMS is sold as SaaS.
- Fixed charge per month per Mobile User that allows for unlimited messages, or
- Variable charge based on the number of transactions per month.
- Combination. This works when there are two distinctly different User Types in your organisation. For example: High daily Users on a Fixed charge (Unlimited usage) and Intermittent Health and Safety Users and/or daily timesheet only on a Variable Usage basis. In this case only one Access fee is charged. The combination can work well for workplaces with large contracting/casual workforces.
There is also an Access fee per per month per organisation. This allows for designing and building unlimited solutions, all upgrades and includes 2 hours online support. per month. There is a minimum of 10 Mobile User accounts or 3000 messages per month.
User accounts are managed by you, and only active accounts in any given month, are charged for., subject to minimums. There are also discounted rates for larger numbers of Users and high messaging volumes.

How hard is it to DIY?
Not at all. AMS is extremely flexible and easy to use. The process of mobile app design is quick and easy. It does not require any coding skills as you are configuring from menu options. Our online manual has everything you need to know. The majority of AMS Customers learn how to design and build their own solutions. We are available to design and build for you.

Most Customers book an online training webinar to get off to a quick start. There is a charge. However, the flexibility of being able to adapt, alter or build new solutions, is “almost” priceless!
What happens if I need help with something?
We have an online manual for both end-users and developers. You can also contact us via the support desk to make changes and further customise your platform if you’re not comfortable doing it yourself. However our customers are usually pleasantly surprised how flexible, intuitive and easy AMS is to use.
We have an online support desk and acknowledge all queries within 24 hours. All support is on a best endeavours basis.
